Professional Evolution

I want to bring more than confidence to a real estate team or growing business. This semester, I compared how I see myself with what colleagues and teammates experience, and I used their feedback to improve how I prepare, communicate, and contribute.

Core values

I’m motivated by achievement and connection.

I like a challenge, but the people around me are a big part of what makes the work worthwhile. My own assessment reflects both: business opportunity scored 100 out of 100, achievement and social connection each scored 85, and helping others scored 70.

All ten motivator ratings from my Radian self assessment, highest first. The four I talk about here are highlighted. These are interests, not skill ratings.

What I learned

My network described me as social, involved, and empathetic. That fits the way I see myself: someone who enjoys meeting people and being part of a team.

One comment also stayed with me: I could trust the process more instead of trying to finish as quickly as possible. I take that as a reminder that being driven also means giving the work enough care.

How I’m putting it into practice

I’ve added preparation or review checkpoints. I want clients and teammates to know that I’ll follow through with the same care I bring to building a relationship.

My brand strategy

I lead with relationships and let my results show the ambition. When I meet people in commercial real estate, I want them to remember that I was easy to talk to and that I delivered what I said I would.

Communication style

I connect naturally. I’m working on clearer delivery.

I see myself as confident and outgoing, and those qualities also appear in my network’s feedback. The difference is in what stands out: I see more assertiveness in myself; others see more emotional expression and interaction.

Both of us put me in the Expressive corner. Further right means speaking up more; higher means showing more emotion and connection.

Self assessment and network survey results, each scored from minus 9 to 9. All four of my scores are positive, so each bar runs from 0 to 9. Higher means a stronger tendency, not better performance.

What I learned

Both assessments place me in the expressive communication style. To me, that means I’m comfortable sharing ideas and connecting with people. The difference in scores suggests my warmth may be more noticeable than I realize.

“Very nice and well spoken”Professional network feedback

Presenting is a different challenge. Teammates asked me to vary my tone, organize my thoughts, and improve my pacing. Being comfortable speaking doesn’t always mean my message is easy to follow.

How I’m putting it into practice

I’ve rehearsed aloud and worked on pacing. My goal is to keep my natural personality while making the main point clear from the start.

My brand strategy

I let my warmth start the conversation, then get to the point. In networking and interviews, that means being myself first and following up with a short, organized answer.

Additional insight · Team collaboration

I support the team. I’m building more consistent habits.

For me, being a good teammate means listening, arriving prepared, and delivering work others can use. The feedback shows a strong foundation, alongside habits I still need to make more consistent.

Three rounds of feedback

Fall 2026 · Teammate ratings · 0 to 4

Round 1

Listening4.00 / 4
Preparation3.75 / 4
Accurate and timely work4.00 / 4

Energy and reliability

Teammates valued my support and ideas. One asked me to vary my tone.

Round 2

Listening4.00 / 4
Preparation4.00 / 4
Accurate and timely work4.00 / 4

Preparation stood out

Feedback praised my preparation and asked for better attention and delivery.

Round 3

Listening4.00 / 4
Preparation3.75 / 4
Accurate and timely work3.75 / 4

Keep refining the delivery

Teammates recognized my ideas and openness to feedback. Pacing still needed work.

Listening and responding stayed at 4.00. Preparation peaked in Round 2, while accurate and timely work dipped slightly in Round 3. Preparation includes punctuality. Each bar uses the full 0 to 4 scale.

What the pattern tells me

Listening and respect for others’ ideas stayed at 4.00 out of 4 across all three rounds. That supports how I see myself as a teammate. Preparation and work quality varied slightly, so I can’t describe the semester as steady improvement in every area.

I’m proud that teammates recognized my ideas, energy, and openness to feedback. I also want to be more consistent about the preparation and attention behind those contributions.

My brand strategy

I want to be known as the teammate who is prepared, not just the one who brings the energy. Showing up ready every time is how I plan to earn that trust.

What I changed

  • Added preparation or review checkpoints
  • Rehearsed aloud and worked on pacing
  • Improved my attention during meetings

These are steps I took during the semester. I need more feedback to know how much they have helped.

What I’m taking forward

  • My network and I see the same core: confident, outgoing, and expressive.
  • My warmth stands out more than I expected, so I lead with it.
  • My teamwork is strong. My preparation needs to be just as consistent.

I want to be known as someone who connects easily, listens well, and follows through. My next step is to make preparation and delivery more consistent: review my work, practice before presentations, and ask for specific feedback afterward. That’s how I plan to keep earning trust as I move toward commercial real estate and entrepreneurship.
